Each piece of aspen furniture starts with hand-selected, dead standing Aspen. Since we harvest only standing dead trees from mature forests, there is very little moisture left in the wood. This low moisture content helps to minimize the "cracking or checking" of the wood and ensures quality and lasting joinery.
We utilize the time proven method of "Mortise and Tenon" joinery in all of our log furniture. This type of joinery provides both solid, dependable construction and an aesthetic appeal that will last for generations to come.
Our furniture is backed by a 100% guarantee covering the materials and workmanship of the product. "Cracking and Checking" are inherent to both lodge pole pine and aspen. Those markings occur during the drying process and add to the rustic look of the furniture. However, if a natural crack or check should compromise the framework of the furniture, causing the piece to be unsafe, Rocky Mountain Log Furniture will either repair or replace it (upon inspection) free of charge. |
